If You Want to Catch Your Dreams, You Have to Chase Them First {Three $50.00 PrintKeg Credits to Giveaway}

If you want to catch your dreams, you have to chase them first, right? {you can download this printable at the end of this post} You guys, I’ve been so excited for this day to come! I started this blog on a shred of a dream. I had no clue what I was doing or if anyone would ever look at it let alone read or follow it. Yet I felt like I had something to give so I dared to dream anyways. Bake, create, write, photograph, repeat. Repeat. And repeat some more. That’s pretty much been the story. I’ve grown in more ways than I can tell you. A quick scroll through my Recipe Box reveals just how much my photography has grown, which is probably one of the things I am most proud of. And though the progress is obvious, there is certainly room for more growth. This journey has certainly been a ride. For awhile I wasn’t exactly sure what my niche was going to be, obviously it would include recipes, but I didn’t want to limit myself to food alone. I love to do too many other things to set that sort of restriction for myself. And so it grew a little more to include the sorts of things you find in my Idea book: gift ideas, printables, crafts, DIY projects, quilts, and activities and projects for kids – a little of this and a little of that. But for the longest time, I kept a distance and stayed behind the scenes. I hardly told anyone about this blog. I kept my face and even my name hidden. That way if I failed, no one would really know. I may not be the most well known blogger out there, but I’m certainly not failing. I’m not scared anymore. And that is in large part due to all of you. Thank you for your kindness and support! I know you are out there. I read every comment and email. I know many of you subscribe by email, bloglovin, or in your RSS feed and I work hard to keep quality posts coming your way. I see your Facebook likes, twitter favorites, and your pins, and I am so very thankful for each and every one of them. To you they might just be a few words, or buttons you simply clicked on, but to me they have been little seeds for change, growth, and transformation. Through your presence I have found the confidence to break out and take ownership for my work. I once read somewhere that if you don’t take yourself seriously, you can’t expect anyone else to either. This is me serious. I’m ready to take bigger steps and to grow even more. And when I jump, I usually jump big. This is my first post on WordPress. My content is officially mine. The responsibility is both exciting and scary all at the same time. I can’t believe that I made the switch! Yipppeee! Not only have I transferred to WordPress, just look at my new design! Isn’t it fabulous? I found the most amazing designer, Kate, from Elevenses Designs. One word – incredible, seriously you guys, she’s got mad skills. Not only did I want something clean and fresh, classy and yet fun, I wanted a design that was totally user friendly. When you get a chance, you’ll have to see what Kate’s done with my Recipe Box and my Idea Book! She’s brilliant, I think you’re going to love it as much as I do. It  is a dream that I dared to chase and I’m so glad that I did. Welcome to JCD all grown up! I can’t wait to see where the next part of this adventure leads.

In order to help celebrate my new design, I’ve teamed up with Printkeg who is not only giving me $50 credit to their store, but three readers will also receive a $50 credit as well. I’m so excited to order new business cards, note cards, and maybe even some stickers all sporting my new logo. They also have invitations, posters, and much more to offer, I’m sure you won’t have any trouble picking something out. Please use the rafflecopter form below to enter.

    I love to send cards for special occasions an to uplift my friends during a hard time, so I buy cards constantly. I would buy more cards to send out.
