Chewy S'mores Bars
Ingredients
- 9 cups Golden Grahams Cereal
- 4 cups of Rice Krispie Cereal
- 2 16 oz packages of regular marshmallows
- 9 Tablespoons butter
- 1 3 oz package of Marshmallow Bits
- 1 11.5 oz package of milk chocolate chips, frozen if time permits
Instructions
-
Grease/spray a 9x13 pan. Measure cereal and pour into large bowl. In a large soup pot, melt marshmallows and butter together until smooth and creamy, stirring occasionally. Pour cereal into soup pot, and stir until well coated. If you're soup pot isn't big enough you can pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal in that big bowl, but then you have two sticky marshmallow pans to clean, so if your pot is big enough totally pour the cereal and save yourself some scrubbing! Stir in marshmallow bits and chocolate chips at the very end when the marshmallow mixture has cooled a little. I like to freeze the chocolate chips if I have time, but if not, I wait until the absolute last second and stir quickly so they don't melt completely away. Spread mixture into prepared pan. Cool and cut into bars. Enjoy!
oh i would love to win something.
My favorite summer memory is when I was younger I would spend the summer with my nanny. I would swim, help with the garden and feeding the animals.
Rollerblading to the Big Gulp and getting coca cola slurpees!
Who knew there were so many ways to make S’mores!!! The cover looks delish!
visiting grandparents!:)
Something I love about every summer is starting a fire up and the kids making smores. My daughter does a very good at making the perfect toasted marshmellow.
Mmmm, s’mores!! Always remind me of childhood. <3 And a give-away!? How awfully nice of you, thank you so much for being so sweet!
One of my favorite summer memory is when my family – my WHOLE family – goes down to the beach, and basically picnic out there, s’mores being one of treats. 😀
Mu favorite summer memory is watching my grandmother make peach cobbler and the anticipation of it coming out of the oven and served with vanilla ice cream. My grandmother passed away long ago, but I now share this treat with my daughter (who is named after my grandmother) every summer!!
