I’m excited to share this post with you featuring Rachel Hollis’ cookbook, Real Life Dinners. I’m sure you are in the same boat as I am, life is just busy. I’ve got three kids, each at different schools and with very different interests. We shuttle between bowling, swimming, gymnastics, and football to name a few activities. And as if getting everyone where they were needed wasn’t enough, I’m trying to devote more time to this blog, and my shop, maintain my home, and spend time with my husband, friends, and family. We’ve got to eat, but these days I honestly haven’t had a lot of energy to put into meals. I’ve been in kind of a slump and really need some inspiration. Gah, right?! It’s important to me because even in our busiest of days I try to gather who I can around the table to share stories and connect with each other over a delicious wholesome meal.
REAL LIFE DINNERS, Rachel explains “real life means creating dinner can’t take hours. Real life means there’s no way I can marinate or prep a day in advance unless it’s a special occasion. Real life means nothing is from a starter. Real life means I want to know what is actually in the food I’m eating… It may not be low calorie or organic, but I want to use wholesome ingredients. Real life means the dish needs to work for all of us.”
This girl gets me. Ya know? She speaks my language. I’m super excited to add this to my list of cookbooks. With categories like, soups for dinner, sides, for dinner, salads for dinner, breakfast for dinner, and make ahead dinners I’m already loving what I see. You can get a closer look here.
