
Cake Batter Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients
Krispie Treats
- 9 Tablespoons butter
- 2 16 oz bags of regular marshmallows
- 12 cups of Rice Krispies
- 2/3 cup yellow or white cake mix straight from the box
- 1 2 oz container of sprinkles (or 1/4 cup works)
Topping
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 Tablespoon yellow or white cake mix straight from the box
- Sprinkles
Instructions

Grease 9x13-inch square pan with cooking spray or butter. Melt butter and marshmallows together. When smooth and creamy turn off heat and stir cake mix in. Add Rice Krispies and stir. Keep stirring until all the cereal is evenly coated and the mixture has cooled a bit. Now stir in sprinkles. Wait until cereal is evenly coated and stir just long enough to mix sprinkle evenly throughout the mixture so the color doesn't bleed. Pour into prepared pan. Spray spatula or fingers with cooking spray and press mixture until evenly spread. Set aside. Place white chocolate chips into a plastic baggie. Microwave for 20 seconds. Take out and use fingers to mix by gently squeezing bag around. Repeat, mixing each time until white chocolate is soft and smooth. Open bag and mix in heaping 1 Tablespoon cake mix, straight from the box. Close bag and squish mixture around with your fingers until mixed well. When smooth, clip a small piece off of the corner of the bag and drizzle over treats. Cool and cut into squares. If I'm in a hurry, I pop them in the fridge to help the white chocolate set. Enjoy!
